hello all,

I just downloaded the image and booted it on my zero and one boards and quite amazed at the progress! I had no issues getting the can interface going, and doing all of the tasks in the tutorial video (windows file sharing, vnc, filezilla, etc) which is really great! I

I was also able to test the SDK, building the blinky LED cpp example. Next I built an example cpp program to print the IMU output. I'd be glad to push it to the repo if there is interest. Finally, I wanted to see if I could write a c example. Thankfully the library header Arduino.h allows this, but there is a point that wasn't obvious to me. When your program launches it needs to first call the init() function. I can push my code if folks are interested.

Finally, a question about the mini PCIe socket on the one board. Can I use this PEAK CAN card ?
http://www.peak-system.com/PCA.....?&L=1
It's supported in linux and works in my MinnowBoard Max, but not sure if the 86duino one has a standard pcie interface or not and if it's supported in the linux image. Thanks for any hints.

In any case, great job!

We have no the PEAK CAN card to try on 86Duino One; but One's mini-PCIE slot is a standard PCIE-1x interface and hence I think the PCAN card may work with One. The L86duntu image doesn't include the PCAN card's driver and it is necessary to install the driver by yourself (http://www.peak-system.com/fil...../index.htm).

Greetings,

I can see in the Change log (http://www.86duino.com/?p=14478) that version 1.1 seems to be published but I can't find the link.

In addition, was anything crucial changed in the way 1.0 behave? First of all, it seems to bi just a tad to big for 8GB uSD card as opposed to the old image that fit and worked perfectly when I extended it to my 8GB uSD card:

7,42 GB (7.969.177.600 bytes) vs. 7,32 GB (7.861.174.272 bytes)

Image 0.9 seemed to be preset in the way it catches DHCP address and one can easily log in through SSH and Ethernet. Was that changed in the new version, since putting it on 32GB and starting ZERO didn't give any DHCP entries.

Thank you in advance for clarification,

Bruno

Hi,

Greetings,

Today, we are prepare to publish new version v1.1 and update the change log earlier, so now already can download this new verison v1.1 here. :)

In addition, was anything crucial changed in the way 1.0 behave? First of all, it seems to bi just a tad to big for 8GB uSD card as opposed to the old image that fit and worked perfectly when I extended it to my 8GB uSD card:

New files are continuously added to L86duntu image, the size is larger than old version. If 8GB is not enough, recommend to use 16GB uSD.

Image 0.9 seemed to be preset in the way it catches DHCP address and one can easily log in through SSH and Ethernet. Was that changed in the new version, since putting it on 32GB and starting ZERO didn't give any DHCP entries.

I will try to restore L86duntu 1.0 on 32GB and check your question.

Bruno

What is your mean that ZERO cannot get ip address from DHCP or your don't know IP address that ZERO get from DHCP?

Hi cucubutter,

check my post here: http://www.86duino.com/?page_i.....ased#p1046

It seems that (at least v 1.1, but probably for 1.0 too) hasn't got eth device autostarted and DHCP ready in configuration. I tried connecting RX/TX to RS232 on my computer (with and without TTL adapter) but there's no output either.
