Hi
since a few days i had tryed install Windows XP on my 86duino One.But the installation gives my a Blue Screen with the following message : STOP : 0x0000007B (0xFC90F63C, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) and i have no clue whats going on there. Here my Step what i've done :
- connected a mouse, keyboard, monitor and a cdrom on the 86Duino One
- put a SD Card , 8GByte and formated with NTFS, at the 86Duino One
- put a original Windows XP Professional CD into the CDROM
- switch the power on and pressed F12 to select the CDROM as boot device
- the installation begins with loading all drivers
and then came the Blue Screen with the message from above. Microsoft has no clue why is error happend an they
said to me : ask the Support from your board maybe they can help you with your problem.

Hi, guigra,
I also once met the Blue Screen like you said when installing Windows XP on 86Duino One, and then do the following steps to improve :
1. To be sure that the CD-ROM has the enough power, if the CD-ROM has a additional power cable, please connect it with external power.
2. For 86Duino One, it also need enough power because the additional VGA card and peripherals, so we need to connect external power to 86Duino One (ex: 9V or 12V).

Hi Android_Lin,
thank's for your answer. During the installion of WinXP i had the Duino One at an external Powersource (12 V 1.75 A) also my usbhub with external Power (5V 2A ) and my CD Drive with an seperate (12V 2A) Powersource.Maybe is this a driver problem because the CD Drive is an LG Super multi drive (can read and write CDR , CDR/W, Blueray).
The usbaspi driver (in various versions) do not recognized the CD after the first reboot during the setup. Also this board hang up during a FreeDOS or MS DOS session with an EMM86 PageFault. The PageFault error came at random times.
As you can see problems over problems.

I think your USB CD-ROM is OK. When the first boot, we need to press "F12" key to enter the boot menu, and will choose which device to boot.
Here is the installation tutorial but it is traditional Chinese (we will translate it to English) : http://www.86duino.com/index.p.....38;lang=TW

Hi Android_Lin
thanks for this link.I had no luck with the XP installation at point 8 came the blue screen of death.
During the investigation why this error happend had i tryed to install Windows 2000 and it failed at the same point as XP with a blue screen of death. But this bluescreen gave me the reason why the installation failed.
The error is inaccessible boot device.

I tried to search this error, and see some information in the Microsoft Support page:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/324103/advanced-troubleshooting-for-stop-error-code-0x0000007b-inaccessible-boot-device-errors-in-windows-xp
It shows several probable reasons :
1. Boot-Sector Viruses, OK, it should be impossible on the SD card, we don't consider this.
2. Device Driver Issues, the SD card on 86Duino is a standard IDE device, it doesn't need the additional driver, we don't consider this.
3. Hardware Issues - we can try to check it
4. Other Issues - we can try to check it
For point 3 and 4, we can try to format SD card to FAT32 or directly make a 86Duino SD card by SysImage (recommendation) :
http://www.86duino.com/index.php?p=3203
After making a 86Duino SD card, insert it to 86Duino and boot, we should see the LED on the 86Duino board blinks 3 short pulses, follow by 2 long pulses, which indicates the 86Duino board successfully launched the new SysImage from the MicroSD storage. If the blinking LED is OK (it says 86Duino hardware is OK), we try to install Windows XP again. (In addition, recommend to use Windows XP SP3 for installing.)

Hi
i think too that we can point one and two excluding from the list.I had also build the SD Card with SysImage and this works fine. The next step was to make a SD Card with 86Duino OS and it worked also fine. Now, after i had downloaded an ISO Windows XP SP3 and burned a CD , the installation was successfull and the System running fine.I have no clue why my XP SP2 had failed with inaccessible boot device but with your help and XP SP3 is this problem solved.

Thank your response, original, I try to google the difference between Windows XP SP2 and SP3,
like this : http://www.ehow.com/about_6705.....k-2-3.html
or : http://www.techspot.com/commun.....-3.149748/
but find most answers which don't explain the error : inaccessible boot device.
I think that Windows XP SP3 may improve compatibility for other hardware device, or more bug fixes...
